WCHS 2011 Military Calendar Photo Times

The Wayne County Historical Society has set the dates and times for the photo shoots for the eastern and western towns of the county for their Military Calendar. On May 22 photographer Mike Mulburry photographed veterans from Sodus, Galen, Lyons and Arcadia. The western and eastern towns, their locations, and dates are as follows:June 69:30 – Ontario – War Memorial by the Legion Post sign, 6180 Knickerbocker road.10:15 – Walworth – Veteran’s Memorial Town Hall, Lorraine Drive 11:00 – Palmyra & Macedon – Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Port of Palmyra off of Canal St.11:45 – Marion – GAR Monument, Marion Cemetery12:15 – Williamson – Sunnyside cemetery, South Ave. Monument & FlagpoleJune 129:30 – Wolcott – Heavy Towed Howitzer, American Legion10:00 – Butler – Veteran’s memorial in front of town hall10:45 – Savannah – Veteran’s Memoial Village Park, Main St.11:30 – Rose – Rose Monument in triangle in Rose12:00 – Huron – Evergreen Cemetery on Dutch St.All interested military veterans who have not already called the Museum and who would like to be in the calendar should call 315 946 4943 or email laevans@waynehistory.org.The goal is to have as many veterans from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, WACS, WAVES as possible in each picture, and from the various towns across Wayne County. At this time, more veterans are still needed to be in the picture for Huron, Macedon, & Rose.
