Seneca Falls Police Beat 6/02/10

Seneca Falls Police arrested Samuel J. L. Eckert, Jr., age 21, of Steele Road, Waterloo on June 1st, 2010 following an 8pm traffic stop on Fall Street. Eckert was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while using a Mobile Phone, Operating a Motor Vehicle while using a Portable Device, Aggravated Unlicensed Operaration in the 2nd Degree, Unlawfully Dealing with Fireworks, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree (Felony). Eckert was found to be in possession of fireworks, Brass Knuckles and a Butterfly Knife while operating on a Suspended License. Eckert was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court by the Hon. Brian Laird and was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1000 cash/$2000 bond and is to reappear June 4th, 2010 at 11am.Seneca Falls Police arrested Terry L. Smith, Jr., age 23, of 55 W. Bayard Street Apt 7, Seneca Falls on June 2nd, 2010 at about 1:34 am following the investigation of a domestic dispute. Smith was charged with 2 Counts of Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree and Harassment in the 2nd Degree. Smith allegedly damaged the property of a 24 year old female and was involved in a physical altercation with the female. Smith was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court by the Hon. Brian Laird and was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1000 cash/$2000 bond and is to reappear in Town Court on June 23rd, 2010 at 9am.
