Girls Gone Wild: SF teens assault, injure officers

The Seneca Falls Police Department has completed their investigation into an incident that took place late Tuesday night June 15th, 2010 in the area of Souhan Lane near People’s Park. At 11:06 PM Seneca Falls Police were called to People’s Park for the report of people being loud and possible underage drinking. Upon Police arrival in was discovered that one juvenile was concealing a bottle of liquor. Seneca Falls Police gathered all of the youths involved and began investigating where the youths obtained the alcohol. During the investigation one of the juvenile’s became unruly and interfering with the investigation by using obscenities towards Officers and at one point walked away from the scene.Officers then attempted to place the intoxicated fifteen year old juvenile in the back of a patrol car in order to transport her back to her residence when she became belligerent and assaultive toward Officers. During the altercation the intoxicated fifteen year old female kicked a Seneca Falls Police Officer in the groin.While Officers were attempting to gain control of the fifteen year old, two other females, age sixteen and seventeen years of age came over and attempted to pull the fifteen year old away from the Officers. The fifteen year old female was able to break free from the Officers.Officers then attempted to take into custody the sixteen year old female for obstructing. While Officers were attempting to place the combative sixteen year old into custody, the fifteen year old and seventeen year old females began to punch, kick, and bite both Officers. At this point Seneca Falls Police Officers requested immediate backup and were assisted by the New York State Police, Seneca County Sheriffs Department, and the Waterloo Police Department.A short time later all three females were arrested. The two Seneca Falls Police Officers were transported from the scene by North Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Officers sustained a concussion, and numerous bruises and cuts through out their body. Both Officers were treated at the hospital and released. On June 16th, 2010 Seneca Falls Police charged the fifteen year old female with two counts of Felony Assault in the Second Degree and two counts of Resisting Arrest. The fifteen year old is due to appear in Seneca County Family Court on June 21st, 2010 at 3:00 PM. On June 18th, 2010 at approx. 2:30 PM Seneca Falls Police arrested the sixteen year old female on an arrest warrant with two counts of Assault in the third Degree; one count of Obstructing Governmental Administration; and one count of Resisting Arrest. The sixteen year old female was arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court in front of Judge Laird and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash or $20,000 Ins. bond. The sixteen year old is scheduled to re-appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on July 14th, 2010 at 9:00 AM. On June 18th, 2010 at approx. 2:40 PM Seneca Falls Police arrested the seventeen year old female on an arrest warrant with one count of Assault in the third degree; one count of Obstructing Governmental Administration; and one count of Harassment. The seventeen year old female was also arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court in front of Judge Laird and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash or $20,000 Ins. bond. The seventeen year old female is scheduled to re-appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on July 14th, 2010 at 9:00 AM.The names of all three Seneca Falls females arrested are being held either due to their age or due to the fact that they are eligible for youthful offender status.
