Auburn, Cayuga Co. to honor former deputy

Mayor Michael D. Quill invites the public and all members of Law Enforcement and U.S. Military to join him and City of Auburn and Cayuga County employees as they pay tribute to Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputy, Bernard “Bernie” Gallow as he is laid to rest on Friday, March 18, 2011.The funeral procession for Deputy Gallow will depart from Farrell’s Funeral Home, 84 South Street in Auburn, NY at approximately 9:00 AM on Friday, March 18th and proceed north on NYS Rt 34 (South Street) for a Mass of Christian burial at Sacred Heart Church, Melrose Road, Owasco. The funeral cortege will pause in front Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street for the ringing of “Old Wheeler.” Mayor Quill encourages all members of the public to gather on the steps of City Hall, or at any point along the procession route to show their support to the Gallow family and honor Deputy Gallow for his many years of service to Cayuga County and Law Enforcement.
