Heavy damage to vehicles in Seneca Falls crash

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a personal injury auto accident at the intersection of State Route 5 and State Route 89. A vehicle was driven east bound on State Route 5 by Pamela M. Watson age 61 of East Syracuse was struck by another vehicle operated by Timothy P. Scanlon age 44 of 3879 Bull Farm Road Seneca Falls when Scanlon, who was west bound on State Route 5, attempted a left turn to go south on State Route 89.Seneca Falls Fire Department, North Seneca Ambulance and Fingerlakes Ambulance responded and treated both Scanlon and Watson at the scene. Watson was transported to Auburn Memorial Hospital by North Seneca Ambulance for her non life threatening injuries. Scanlon was transported to Geneva General Hospital by Fingerlakes Ambulance for his non life threatening injuries. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Scanlon was issued a traffic ticket for failure to yield the right of way at an intersection. Scanlon will have to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on July 21st 2011 at 1000 a.m.
