Narcotics trafficking bust in Waterloo

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division arrested Eric W. Rivera, 28, of 130 East Elisha Street Apt. 5, Waterloo, New York, on numerous charges following an investigation into narcotics trafficking out of his residence. Sheriff’s Deputies and members of the Waterloo Police Department executed a search warrant at Riverahis residence on November 1st, 2011, and seized quantities of cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana that were allegedly packaged for drug sales. Other items seized during the search warrant included scales allegedly used for the weighing of drugs and a pair of brass knuckles. Rivera was charged with four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, Class B Felonies, and two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, Class B Felonies. It is alleged that Rivera sold crack cocaine out of his residence on two different occasions. Rivera, who is also a level 2 registered sex offender, was arraigned in the Waterloo Village Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail/$20,000 secured bond. Rivera is to reappear in the Waterloo Village Court on November 4th, 2011, at 9:30am. The Waterloo Police Department assisted in the investigation.
