Mynderse explodes from long range against Pal-Mac

The Mynderse Blue Devils opened up their 2012-13 boys varsity basketball season on Tuesday night in Seneca Falls against the Pal-Mac Red Raiders. The Blue Devils carry a 29 game home winning streak and a 46 game league winning streak into this season but neither would be in jeopardy last night at Arthur L. Baker Gymnasium.Mynderse jumped out to an amazing start to their season posting 35 points in the first quarter behind four three-pointers from Sophmore reserve guard Liam Caraher making his varsity debut. Then, it was Jimmy Ricci catching fire with 5 first half three’s. Luke Ruddy, Brandon Passalacqua, and Mike Anderson also scored from beyond the arc in the first half as Mynderse went on to an easy 86-65 win over the Red Raiders.For Pal-Mac, Mitchell Crist led the way with 22.For Mynderse, Jason Anderson scored 12 and accounted for 7 steals, Liam Caraher finished with 12, Connor Miller scored 10 in the paint and grabbed 7 rebounds, senior point guard Brandon Passalacqua had 11 and dished out 8 assists, Jimmy Ricci led all MA scorers with 20 points and 6 threes.
