Jake Smith pitched an outstanding game to earn the win.Other Team Highlights:Both Nick Twardeski adn Ira Aman went 2 for 3 for FL Federal Credit Union.************************Division: Girls Minor League SoftballDate of Game: 06/12/2013Time of Game: 6:15Score: 8 Maximum Fitness Vs. 13 Avicolli’s PizzeriaWinning Team Highlights:A 5 run fifth inning put Avicolli’s ahead for good in a game that saw 4 lead changes. Murphy John led the way for Avicolli’s with 2 singles, 2 doubles, and 4 runs scored. She also pitched 3 shutout innings, recording 8 strikeouts and teamed with catcher Hannah Goldberg to throw a baserunner out at home plate. Offensively, Goldberg had 3 hits, while Marissa Voorhees, Carliegh Madden, Makenzi Sullivan, and Allyson Cragle chipped in with 2 hits apiece. Other Team Highlights:Jenni Page, Alyssa Marley, and Sydney Rowley each had 2 hits. Ira Aman and Henry Morse each contributed a single and an RBI. Adding to the RBIs were Ben Jessop, Nick Houck, and Lukas Day. Tyler Lerkins had a base hit.Lukas Day allowed only two runs in his time on the mound with one strikeout. Braeden Cupp closed, facing four batters and making all four defensive outs.Other Team Highlights:Jared King had three base hits and two RBIs, while Mike Kaufman went two for three with two RBIs. Carliegh Madden and Marissa Voorhees had 2 hits, and Allyson Cragle and Ashlynn Currier each singled.Other Team Highlights:Waterloo Container had a good night hitting led by three hits each from Aubrey Gill and Caitlyn Korzeniewski. Mikey Kaufman, JJ Hardy, Mikey Kaufman, Carter Puylara, Griffin Pundt, Michael Bogart, Finian Dougherty, and King all had multiple hits.Other Team Highlights:FLFCU had a strong defensive game. Ira Aman, Nick Houck, Ben Jessop, and Zach Kelley all had multiple hits for FLFCU. One of Houck’s hits was a triple.
