Geneva loves local restaurant week

The Geneva area has embraced and cherishes local, independent restaurants. These restaurants provide a showcase for our regional identity. Restaurant Weeks have taken off across the country and the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a We Love Local Restaurant Week running from Sunday, September 15th – Thursday, September 19th. We have chosen this week, as it leads up to the Finger Lakes Cork & Fork Event and also Homecoming and Family Weekend at Hobart & William Smith Colleges. We Love Local Restaurant Week is designed to kick off the Chamber’s “We Love Local” campaign, a joint effort of the Chamber’s Agriculture and Tourism Councils. The Chamber has numerous members that support local farms and wineries or are the producer and we want to help spread the word. Keep your eye out for “We Love Local” stickers on local business windows which will indicate that they use local products! We Love Local Restaurant Week is all about celebrating the local independently owned restaurants in the Geneva area and promoting our unique cultural scene. What better way to celebrate our food culture than by going out with your friends, grabbing a bite to eat, and enjoying all that our community has to offer. Not only does We Love Local Restaurant Week give consumers the opportunity to be adventurous and try new restaurants by offering Dining Features at $25 for dinner and $10 for breakfast, but it also encourages them to support local independently owned restaurants.Participants include:$10 for BreakfastCaptains Room Café, 368 Exchange StreetOpus Espresso and Wine Bar, 486 Exchange StreetWater Street Café, 467 Exchange Street $25 for DinnerBagels ~ Cakes, 476 Hamilton StreetBeef & Brew, 293 Main StreetThe Cobblestone Restaurant, 3610 Pre-Emption RoadCrow’s Nest, 415 Boody’s Hill Road, WaterlooDana’s Time Out, 258 Hamilton StreetEddie O’Briens, 92 Seneca StreetHalseys Restaurant, 106 Seneca StreetNonna Cosentino’s Trattoria, 1 Railroad PlaceThe Pier House at the Ramada, 41 Lakefront DriveRed Dove Tavern, 30 Castle StreetSeneca Brew and Smokehouse, 4516 West Lake RoadTorrey Park Grill, 89 Avenue EUncle Joes Pizzeria, 99 North Genesee StreetProfits from each dollar spent at your locally-owned, independent restaurant stay right here in the Geneva area and help make our community stronger.
