Storm moves out, warming trend next week

The major storm that surprised our area with heavy snow last night is pulling out this morning. A few bands of light snow will linger around the eastern Finer Lakes for the early part of the morning, but accumulations from these should be less than an inch or two.Once these move out, some additional scattered flurries will be possible from a different disturbance that will cross the area. Again, accumulations will be hard to come by and should be less than an inch.High temperatures today will reach into the low 30s, but cooler weather will move in with highs in the mid 20s Saturday and low 20s on Sunday.Additional snow showers will be possible through Saturday and Sunday, but these should continue the pattern of light, scattered, minor accumulating snow.A major pattern change is on tap for next week, with warmer air moving in. By midweek, we could be soaring into the 40s, with the warmth sticking around at least into next weekend.
