Romulus at States: Preview & Media

The Romulus Lady Warriors will face Section 9’s Eldred at 9:00 am at Hudson Valley Community College in the NYS Class D semifinal game. Romulus heads into the game with an undefeated 22-0 record after easily defeating Pine Valley out of Section 6 last weekend in Canandaigua in the quarterfinal round. Head Coach Damon Nicholson’s squad enters the game as the top ranked Class D team in the stateEldred has a much easier road to the semifinals as they received two byes after the other Class D schools in their area failed to qualify for sectionals. Eldred stands at 8-10 on the season and their last game was almost three weeks ago, a win that stopped a three-game losing streak.Romulus will enjoy a distinct size advantage in the semifinal contest thanks to an tall, experienced front line featuring 6-foot senior Breanne Berlin and a pair of 5’11 forwards in senior Jessica Rhone and junior Zoe McDonald.The game will be broadcast live on Time Warner Cable Sports.
