FLTG’s Fiber Network Now Extends 1,300 Miles

Building on the largest, privately owned fiber-optic network in New York state, Finger Lakes Technologies Group Inc. (FLTG) has extended its network to 1,300 miles.FLTG continues to build out its network by constantly reinvesting its own resources into the network. The company’s fiber-optic network is built entirely through private company funding, and FLTG has not received any grants or stimulus funding for it.Twenty cities and towns now are connected to the company’s 1,300-mile, fiber-optic network: Alfred, Auburn, Binghamton, Buffalo, Canandaigua, Clifton Springs, Corning, Elmira, Farmington, Geneva, Ithaca, Newark, Phelps, Rochester, Romulus, Seneca Falls, Syracuse, Trumansburg, Victor and Waterloo. Cortland will be added to the network later this month.Connecting to FLTG’s network, business customers can access the company’s voice, data, broadband Internet and cloud services. While other providers build out fiber to a city or a town, FLTG builds its fiber-optic loops directly to local business customers.
