Drunk driver slams through depot fence on 414

On Friday morning at about 1:12 am, Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Edward A. Powers, age 30 of State Route 89 in Interlaken, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest stems from a property damage accident that occurred at the boundary of the former Seneca Army Depot around 12:41 am.Powers vehicle was traveling southbound on State Route 414 at a high rate of speed, passing through the intersection of 414 and State Route 96 and coming to a rest after traveling through the former Seneca Army Depot security fence.Powers was treated on scene by South Seneca Ambulance for minor injuries.Powers was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with .18 BAC or higher, Driving While Intoxicated, Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent, Failure to Maintain Designated Lane, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.Powers was released to appear in the Town of Romulus Court on the 25th of April 2014 at 10:00 am.
