Seneca Falls Police Beat for 11/2/14

On 10/26/2014 at 4:40pm the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Charles E. Dyson, age 52, of 612 Packwood Road Waterloo, New York for Petit Larceny. It is alleged that Dyson exited WalMart without paying for a $30.00 item. Dyson was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 11/06/2014 at 10:00am. On 10/21/14 at 3:28 pm the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Megen M. Vandemortel, age 25, of 25 Peterman Road, Apt. D3, Seneca Falls, NY following a 2-car personal injury accident. Police were notified that Vandemortel’s vehicle rear-ended another vehicle at a stop light and then left the scene of the accident. A passenger complained of back pain caused by the accident and had to be transported to Geneva General Hospital for treatment. Vandemortel was located with assistance from the Waterloo Police Department and was charged with Following Too Closely and Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident, a misdemeanor. She is to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on 11/06/14 at 10:00 am to answer the charges.On 10/25/14 at 1:11pm the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department responded to the intersection of State Route 5&20 and State Route 318 for a report of a Property Damage Accident. The following two subjects were arrested by Seneca Falls Police. The driver of one of the vehicles, Michael J. Lizzio, age 28, of 34 Red Maple Drive Fairport, New York was charged with Fail to Yield Right-of Way and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd degree. It is alleged that Lizzio entered the intersection causing the accident. Christopher D. Waters, age 25, of 31 Deland Street Fairport, New York who was a passenger in Lizzios vehicle was taken into custody after it was discovered that the City of Rochester Police Department had an active warrant out on him. Lizzio was arraigned in Seneca Falls Court in front of the Honorable Judge Laquidari. Lizzio was committed to the SCCF on $250.00 cash or $500.00 insurance bond. Lizzio is to re-appear in Seneca Falls Court on 11/06/2014 at 10:00 am. Waters was turned over to Rochester Police Officers. There was no injuries reported.
