Arrest made in Fillmore Golf Course burglary

Sheriff David Gould reports the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with the theft of numerous batteries from golf carts at the Fillmore Glen Golf Course in the Town of Locke.Matthew S. Condes, age 21 of 4465 Hall Road in Moravia, was charged at 2:00pm this afternoon with 7 counts of Petit Larceny and 6 counts of Criminal Mischief (all misdemeanors) in connection with the crimes which occurred twice during the month of October. He was issued appearance tickets for the Town of Locke Court for December 3rd. There is no indication that any other suspects are involved. The multiple counts stem from the fact that the golf carts were owned by several private individuals.
