W-FL Monday: Undefeated Naples survives in OT

The Naples Big Green narrowly preserved their undefeated season, and two game lead in the Finger Lakes West, escaping Bloomfield on Monday night with an 80-71 overtime win. Isaiah Tilley rose to the occasion with a season-high 26 points while Zack Dormer also scored a season high 17. Noah Gorton added 16 and Conrad Rathbun scored 13 for Naples who now stands at 16-0 with 2 games remaining.Bloomfield was led by a monster effort from Alex Flattery who finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Wyatt Conklin was also strong on the board with 13 rebounds. Austin Ferguson scored 15 and Haiden Ward dished out 7 assists. The Bombers fall to 7-9.No rest for Mick Salter’s Big Green Machine as they turn around and host South Seneca on Tuesday night. Then, a trip to Shortsville to face Red Jacket on Thursday. With two wins, Naples, the #2 ranked team in Class C3 in NYS, would finish the season undefeated.Don’t expect Dan Lent’s South Seneca Falcons to be well rested Tuesday night. They were in action on Monday as well hosting Harley Allendale-Columbia in Ovid. The Falcons won easily, 46-26, improving their record to 7-11 on the season and sparking some talk in southern Seneca County that the Falcons could be peaking just in time for sectionals. Lincoln Bachman-Lowe led all scorers with 13 points while seniors Eric Dresser and Andy Johndrew combined for 21 points on Senior Night at the Guinan Gymnasium.South Seneca is currently the #11 seed in Section V Class C2. If the brackets hold through the end of the regular season on Thursday, the Falcons would travel to face a 12-6 Geneseo team on February 24th. If they should win, they would likely face the Wayne County Champs, Red Creek, on February 27th.Check out the W-FL updated league standings, schedule, and more below and be sure to join the FL1 Sports team live in Waterloo tonight at 7:30 pm on FingerLakes1.TV as the Indians host Pal-Mac on Senior Night.
