SF man charged after domestic violence investigation

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Seneca Falls man was arrested on multiple charges following an investigation into ongoing domestic violence in the Town of Seneca Falls.According to deputies, Steven J. Farnsworth, 36, of Seneca Falls was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of harassment in the second degree, and one count of criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. Farnsworth allegedly engaged in multiple acts of domestic violence on more than one occasion in the Town of Seneca Falls.The female victim was allegedly subjected to physical violence, threats, and choking. Deputies say the charges of endangering the welfare of a child stem from the physical violence being perpetrated while the children were present. Farnsworth was arraigned in Waterloo Town Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash, or $4,000 bail bond. An order of protection was issued and Farnsworth will appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on April 7th to answer the charges.Deputies say the investigation is ongoing at this time.
