On Monday at approximately 10:43 pm the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Justin J. Allison, age 30 of Penn Yan, after Officers responded to a residence on Liberty Street for a domestic complaint.Upon arrival to the residence Officers were met by Allison who was allegedly holding a three year old child. Allison attempted to leave with the child and refused orders given by Officers to comply and turn over the child. Once Allison relinquished the child he physically fought with Officers and resisted arrest while attempting to leave the scene. He was subsequently subdued by Taser and taken into custody. The female victim was transported to Soldiers and Sailors for my injuries and the child was unharmed during the incident. Investigation revealed that Allison had allegedly verbally threatened the victim and repeatedly pushed her to the ground in the presence of the child. He was charged with two counts of harassment in the 2nd degree, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, obstruction of governmental administration in the 2nd degree, and resisting arrest. Allison was arraigned in the Penn Yan Village Court where he was committed to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash / $3,000 bond. Penn Yan Police were assisted by Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies.
