ArtWalk2016 begins this Friday evening from 5 to 9 PM and continues Saturday, May 21, from 10 to 4 PM in Seneca Falls. Colorful painted & decorated shoes placed along the sidewalk will guide visitors through the art exhibits hosted by local Fall Street businesses. Artist’s receptions, demonstrations, and musicians performing at several venues in the historic downtown business district highlight this third annual event sponsored by the Seneca Falls Business Association and Seneca County Arts Council’s Art Works Gallery.Women’s Rights National Historical Park will showcase artwork from Seneca Falls students K-8th grade in the Weslyan Chapel, and Roberta Estes’ Distraction Abstraction Paintings will be displayed in the Park’s visitor center. Steve Duprey will be showing acrylic landscape paintings in the Gould Hotel.At Blossoms by Cosentino, visitors will view oil, acrylic & guache paintings by Lisa Gnau, floral design demonstrations by Kelly Cosentino, Linda Bishop of Magical Fibers will be spinning on her wheel, and Angela Noviasky will show pallet paintings At Heart Felt Creations Kathy & Pat will demonstrate spinning & carding, and at the National Women’s Hall of Fame, JillMarie Meyers will show her acrylic paintings. High school students Phoenix Martian, Juliette DeNucci & Hannah Harrold will show tie dyed t-shirts, tapestries, drawings & paintings on both days.At Sinicropi Florist, Kelly Kent will be showing her lake glass jewelry and on Saturday, visitors can register to participate in fresh floral design demonstrations at 10am, and spring wreath design demonstrations at 1pm.Cathy Connolly will show her wooden boxes, etched glass, knives & bottle chimes at the S.F. Visitor Center and next door at WomanMade Products, Deb Bly of Pillow Whimsy will be showing her pillows and sachets and Author Mary Mack from Waterloo will be displaying new her book Reasonable Regret.Friday evening artist’s receptions will be held at WomanMade Products – 91 Fall Street, Art Works Gallery -109 Fall Street, Sinicropi Florist – 64 Fall Street, and S.V. Visitor Center – 89 Fall Street. Musicians playing on Friday evening include singer-songwriter Amy Babiarz, at WomanMade Products – 6-9pm, and Brad and Anna at the S.F. Visitor Center – 5-8pm. Guitarist Gerry Ortego will play on Fall Street Saturday, from 12-2.
