A Canandaigua man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated on County Road 28 in the Town of Canandaigua on Saturday.
Shortly before 7 pm deputies in Ontario County stopped Chad Cleveland, 39, of Canandaigua after he was observed traveling 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. Cleveland submitted to a Datamaster DMT test, which revealed that he was driving while intoxicated.
He had a BAC of .18% at the time of the test, which resulted in the charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, in addition to driving while intoxicated. He was also charged with speed in zone, and possession and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Cleveland will answer the charges at a later date in Canandaigua Town Court.
