Seneca Falls man charged with DWI after being found with weapon, drugs after suspicious vehicle complaint

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports that a Town resident was charged with multiple counts after the report of a suspicious vehicle on Peterman Rd.

Authorities say that on August 12, at approximately 4 am officers arrested Oliver C. Russel, 40, of Seneca Falls for driving while intoxicated, driving with a BAC of .08% or greater, criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Officers say that the arrest came after an investigation into the report of a suspicious vehicle in Seneca Falls.

He was arraigned in Tyre Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail, or $1,000 insurance bond. Russel will appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on September 8 to answer the charge.
