On Monday, at approximately 10:19 am the Geneva Police Department responded to the area of Elizabeth Blackwell and Franklin Streets for the report of a suspicious vehicle.
Upon further investigation it was revealed that a daytime burglary had occurred at Good Game, which is located at 551 Exchange Street and three fleeing suspects were involved with the crime and had used a stolen car.
Authorities say that using City of Geneva and private video surveillance, a complete canvas of the area was executed. Utilizing K-9 tracking, two suspects were in custody for the burglary and other associated crimes.
Officers arrested Daiquan M. Grady, 22 and Lino Vega Jr., 23, both of Geneva — charging Grady with burglary in the third degree — a Class D felony, and Vega with criminal possession of stolen property — a Class D felony.
Bail was set at $25,000 cash and $50,000 secured bond for Grady. Bail was set at $2,500 cash and $5,000 secured bond for Vega. Both will answer the charges at a later date.
Additional charges are expected and anyone with information on the third suspect is urged to contact Geneva Police.
