Geneva man arrested after 5-month investigation into sale of cocaine in city

On Thursday after completing a five month investigation, members of the Geneva Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit along with marked units arrested a suspect in that investigation on Pre-Emption St. in the City of Geneva.

Authorities say that Dresmond L. Carrion, 19, of Geneva allegedly sold crack cocaine at various locations in the City of Geneva. When Carrion was arrested a quantity of cocaine was seized.

Carrion was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree — a Class B felony. Bail was set at $25,000 cash, or $50,000 secured bond.

Authorities also say that additional charges are likely in this case.
