Hopewell man faces life sentence in sex abuse case that allegedly spanned a decade

A Hopewell man accused of sexually abusing a child relative repeatedly over a ten-year period faces a life sentence. According to Ontario County Court documents, the alleged victim claims Brian K. Bagley, now 48, first had sexual intercourse with her when she was 5 years old.

The Hopewell man faces an extensive pile of charges including second-degree rape, a class D felony; third-degree rape, third-degree criminal sexual act and second-degree escape, all class E felonies; along with endangering the welfare of a child, resisting arrest and third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, all class A misdemeanors.
