No tickets issued after car crashes into house in Stanley

Deputies say that no tickets were issued after a Stanley teen lost control of her vehicle, crashing into a house on Algerine Street.

Kea M. Smith, 18, of Stanley was operating her vehicle on Algerine Street when she lost control of the vehicle. Deputies say the vehicle then traveled down an embankment – striking a fence, and house – causing damage to the property.

Smith suffered a minor injury to her face and leg, but did not seek treatment immediately. The home was located at 3290 Algerine Street, and members of the Hopewell Fire Department worked to clean up the scene.

The vehicle was towed from the scene. Deputies say that the house suffered damage to the outside and inside walls on the north side of the residence. It was not reported if the residents of the home were able to continue living there after the accident.
