Public hearing set for proposed Fishers Fire District $4.1M budget

A proposed $4.1 million spending plan will be the subject of a public hearing for Fishers Fire District residents this week. The district’s Board of Fire Commissioners (BOFC) will host a public hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at Fishers Fire Station 2, 380 High Street in Victor. Up for review is the 2017 draft budget that would bump the tax levy to $3,064,030 — a 20 percent jump from 2016, following a 63.5 percent hike from 2015.
