Sex offender charged with endangering, forcibly touching minor in Penn Yan

The Penn Yan Police Department has located a Delevan man, who was wanted on a variety of sex offenses, which are said to have occurred in the Village.

Adam E. Webster, 31, of Delevan was arrested and charged with unlawful imprisonment, forcible touching, and endangering the welfare of a child after being located by New York State Police in Bath. Webster was turned over to the Penn Yan Police Department and arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court.

While details are limited in terms of what specifically Webster is accused of doing, he was arraigned and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 secured bond.

Officials say that additional charges are pending and that Webster is a level 3 sex offender, according to New York State.
