Forty-one acres of fields, wetlands and forests on West Hollow Road will remain wild thanks to a conservation easement donated to Finger Lakes Land Trust. The land trust announced the donation from Gladys Gifford and Alvin Schuster that includes diverse forests of shagbark hickory, white ash and black cherry. A spur of the Finger Lakes Trail of more than a half mile runs through the land. What’s more, the land trust said the parcel is set among other conservation lands in the Bristol Hills. Those include Ontario County’s Gannett Hill Park, Cutler Boy Scout Camp, Cumming Nature Center, and state-owned wildlife management areas such as Stid Hill.
