Halloween marchers take on Main Street in Canandaigua

From the amusing to the unique to the frightening, the Fall into Canandaigua kids costume parade had it all. The annual parade on Saturday allowed children from all over the area to give their Halloween costumes a sneak preview before the big night as well as a chance to sharpen their trick-or-treating techniques at businesses up and down Main Street.

Some were dressed up as notable characters from books, along with a hodgepodge of superheroes, princesses and zombies. Some wore food costumes, including Norah Ashcroft, who was dressed as a Big Mac. Webster baby Emilia Stoutenburg came as a plate of spaghetti and meatballs — the outfit that took home the event’s best homemade costume award.
