World War II vet to give keynote speech at FLCC Veterans Day event

A Canandaigua man who was a prisoner of war for nearly a year during World War II will be the guest of honor and keynote speaker at the Veterans Day ceremony at Finger Lakes Community College.

Donald Barton, 95, of Canandaigua, will speak at the 1 p.m. ceremony Nov. 11 in the FLCC Student Center auditorium, 3325 Marvin Sands Drive. The event is free and open to the public. Guests should arrive early for parking; handicap spots are available in the lot closest to the main entrance.
