Penn Yan man threatens staffer with knife, damages vehicle

The Penn Yan Police Department reports the arrest of a Village resident after an incident where he allegedly made a threat with a knife, and caused damage to a vehicle.

Officers arrested Joshua Slater, 22, of Penn Yan for menacing in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon on the fourth degree, and criminal mischief in the second degree. Authorities say that Slater damaged a vehicle and threatened a staff member at the location where the incident took place with a knife.

He will answer the charges at a later date.
