The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has identified the individuals involved in this morning’s rollover crash involving a dump truck and two other cars.
Deputies say that the accident happened around 6:44 am at the intersection of State Route 21 and Armington Road. Deputies, along with Manchester and Palmyra fire departments, as well as Finger Lakes Ambulance responded to the scene.
William Kirnie, 56, of Victor was traveling east on Armington Road and failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign. His vehicle was struck by a dump truck, which was being operated by Timothy Joss, 60, of Oswego who was traveling northbound on State Route 21.
Joss was delivering a load of ash dust for Onondaga County, which spilled when the dump truck struck a guardrail and overturned in the ditch north of the intersection following the collision.
Krinie’s vehicle struck a vehicle that was stopped facing west on Armington Road operated by P. Manibanseng, 58, of Palmyra. Manibanseng complained of back pain, but was not transported by ambulance.
Kirnie was issued a citation for failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign. State Route 21 was closed for approximately 4 hours while crews cleaned up the spilled ash dust.
