Teen details decade of alleged sexual abuse in Ontario Co. Court

The 16-year-old sat in the witness chair of the Ontario County Courthouse’s South Courtroom on Tuesday, her arms wrapped around a stuffed animal as she detailed the decade of sexual abuse she allegedly endured at the hands of a Hopewell man.

The alleged victim was the first witness called to the stand by Ontario County Assistant District Attorney Jim Ritts during the trial for 48-year-old Brian Bagley, who faces a potential sentence of life behind prison walls.

During her testimony, the teen accused Bagley, a relative, of sexually abusing her starting when she was 5 years old — abuse that allegedly progressed from touching to oral sex and then penetration, which began when she was around age 10.
