Powerball jackpot reaches $403M for Saturday’s drawing

The Powerball jackpot swelled again Wednesday night, this time to $403 million, the 13th largest in the history of North American multistate grand prize lottery games. With no one matching the five numbers — 7, 32, 41, 47, 61 and the Powerball of 3 — Saturday’s jackpot increased from $359 million, according to the New York Lottery.

The estimated cash value, one lump-sum payment before taxes, is $243.8 million, the lottery said. Three tickets nationwide were worth $1 million each; those tickets, sold in California, Florida and Maryland, matched the five numbers Wednesday night but missed the Powerball.
