Auburn pair charged after jumping 72-year-old man in parking garage

Two Auburn men are facing robbery charges after they allegedly attacked an elderly man and stole his wallet.

The Auburn Police Department said a robbery that occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m. Monday was reported to agency hours later. A 72-year-old man said he was walking through the city parking garage on Lincoln Street when he was knocked down by two male suspects wearing dark clothing.

The victim told police that the suspects went through his pockets and stole his wallet. The 72-year-old man wasn’t injured in the attack and the suspects fled the scene on foot.
