Police say Carlos R. Rodriguez-Ocasio, 45, of Geneva was charged with third-degree criminal posession of a controlled substance — a Class B felony.
Officers say Rodriguez-Ocasio was arrested after an investigation was completed into the sale of heroin in a parking lot at 316 Castle Street. The suspect had been selling heroin in and around the areas of Castle Street in Geneva for a period of time.
At the time of the arrest, officers say Rodriquez-Ocasio was found to be in possession of 40 bags of heroin packaged for sale.
He is being held on $40,000 cash bail or $80,000 secured bond.
His next court appearance will be on January 3rd, 2017. Additional charges are pending, according to police.
