Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts reports the arrest of a Clyde man following the report of a disturbance on Frederick Street in the Village of Clyde early Saturday morning.
Deputies arrested Shawn D. Ketcham, 37, of Clyde for first-degree criminal contempt, third-degree assault, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
It is alleged that Ketcham went to his ex-girlfriend’s house and entered her residence and threatened her and her new boyfriend with a shotgun and then struck his ex-girlfriend in the head and chest with the barrel of the shotgun.
Ketcham’s ex-girlfriend has an active order of protection against him. He was arraigned in Galen Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail. He is scheduled to return to Galen Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
