Parliament is in session.
For about a month now, birders from near and far have been flocking to Seneca Falls to search for Snowy Owls. Four different individuals can be seen in a pretty small area. I cannot recall such a concentration of “snowies” in all my years of birding. There are names for groups of animals (called collective nouns), often far more creative and descriptive than “flock” or “herd.” You may be familiar with a group of crows being called a murder. But have you heard of a crash of rhinos or a tower of giraffes? How about a parliament of owls?
