Deputies in Ontario County say a Farmington woman was arrested after a woman who was allegedly drunk and disoriented tried picking up her child from school twice.
Deputies say Erika Kesner, 42, of Farmington was in the main office and appeared confused and disoriented. Employees of the school called a resource officer to the scene. During the ensuing investigation it was found the Kesner had picked her four-year-old daughter up earlier in the day.
She then left her daughter unattended at her residence and went back to school thinking she still needed to be picked up. Kesner was found to also have driven while intoxicated as well as impaired by drugs and alcohol.
She was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and aggravated driving while intoxicated — with a child under 16-years-old in the vehicle.
She submitted to a breath test, which showed her to be above the legal limit as well as a drug influence evaluation, which showed her to be under the influence of drugs. She was issued citations for the driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired by drug charges.
She was also issued an appearance ticket for endangering the welfare of a child.
All charges will be answered in Farmington Town Court.
