The city’s zoning and planning boards will have new leaders in the coming year, as the current chairmen failed to secure reappointments to their respective bodies. Not everyone is happy about it.
Robert Stewart, who has served on the Zoning Board of Appeals for 22 years and was the panel’s longtime chairman, was none too happy with the way he was dismissed from the board. He went to the City Council meeting Wednesday night to express his dismay. Stewart told Council during the public comment portion of the meeting that he received a letter from the city stating that ZBA members recommended new people to the board and Stewart was not selected. He was thanked for his many years of service.
