Police: Auburn man who pawned heater facing felony charge

An Auburn man received about $15 for a heater he allegedly pawned, and now he’s facing a felony charge.

Police said Robert J. Smith III, 23, of 35 Delevan St., stole a portable heater and pawned it at Pawn King on Genesee Street. The original owner saw it in the store, police said, and following an investigation arrested Smith.
