Penn Yan woman faces felony charges after violating protection order

A Penn Yan woman is facing multiple charges after she was arrested on a warrant issued out of Penn Yan Village Court.

Shannon Davis, 34, of Penn Yan was arrested for first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree criminal contempt on Thursday around 8:40 pm.

She is accused of violating an order of protection. In all, she was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, two counts of criminal contempt, as well as second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.

She was arraigned in Penn Yan Court and remanded to the Yates County Jail.
