Crash involving vehicle, two pedestrians in Ithaca under investigation

The Ithaca Police Department reports that they responded to the 700 block of South Meadow Street around noon for a crash involving two pedestrians and a car.

The accident happened near DiBella’s and happened when the two pedestrians were crossing from east to west on South Meadow Street when they were struck by a vehicle traveling south. One pedestrian was airlifted from the scene, while the other was transported via Bangs Ambulance to a local trauma center.

The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation, according to police. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Ithaca Police Department.
