In an update Sunday morning deputies with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department identified the pair who died in the accident on County Road 37 in the Town of Canadice.
Crews were called to the scene for a one vehicle crash with entrapment. When those crews arrived they found a vehicle that was being operated by Richard J. Cansdale, 32, of Lima, and a passenger inside the vehicle identified as Amberjo Rader, 38, of Dansville.
Deputies say the vehicle left the side of the roadway stiking an earth embankment and tree before coming to rest on it’s side. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
Crews on the scene included Honeoye/Richmond Fire and Ambulace, Bristol Fire, Springwater Fire, Hemlock Fire and Livonia Medic 74. A portion of the roadway remained closed after the crash for several hours.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Coumty Road 37 in the Town of Canadice was the site of a fatal crash tonight, according to members of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department.
While extensive details had not been released, deputies on the scene had reported that the crash only involved one vehicle. Two young adults, who were inside that car on County Road 37, both lost their lives in the accident. No identities were released, but a male and female were inside of the vehicle. The accident happened around 9 pm.
Deputies also noted that the car was traveling around 90 mph when it went off the road and struck several trees. The victims were wearing seat belts, but alcohol may have been a contributor.

County Road 37 was temporarily shut down as crews worked at the scene.
