One person has died, while three others were injured in a serious multi-car crash on State Route 20 in Sennett. Airbnb and Schuyler County reach tax collection agreement

Today, Schuyler County and Airbnb announced an agreement to allow the world’s largest home sharing platform to collect and remit county hotel occupancy taxes on behalf of thousands of guests who visit the county every year. Public hearing set for retreat site proposed in Richmond

The Richmond Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing Tuesday, Feb. 21, on a resident’s request for special use of a 44.3-acre property. Scott Gillen seeks a special use permit for 8833 Briggs St. to allow “mindfulness retreats, meditation workshops, yoga and religious/spiritual ceremonies,” according to the application. Tractor-trailer rollover on Rt. 34B in Groton

An accident in Groton has resulted in part of Route 34B and Peruville Road being temporarily shut down. According to the Ithaca Voice, the crash was caused by slippery road conditions, according to Lt. Daniel Donahue of the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office. Romulus School declares no mumps

Tests have come back negative for a Romulus Elementary student believed to have the mumps, the school district announced this week. Last week, Romulus School Superintendent Martin Rotz sent home a letter with elementary students warning parents of possible exposure to mumps. Man sent to prison for attacking ex-girlfriend in Cayuga County

A Tompkins County man will spend the next one to three years in prison for attacking his ex-girlfriend in Auburn last summer. Harry R. Florida man arrested on multiple charges after incident in Ontario Co.

On February 14th a 35-year-old Florida man was arrested after an investigation into a disturbance. Deputies in Ontario County say that Vincent Bryson, 35, of Pompano, Florida was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, and second-degree harassment after an investigation into an incident.
