Cayuga County Administrator Suzanne Sinclair is expected to resign from her post on March 10.
The county Legislature will vote on a resolution Tuesday night authorizing county Legislature Chairman Keith Batman to execute a severance agreement with Sinclair and terminate her original employment agreement.
The resolution, which was added on Feb. 24 to the agenda, says, “it sometimes happens that, over time, ruling bodies and chief administrators fall out of step,” and that both parties “mutually wish to terminate the Employment Agreement.”
Had the agreement still been in place, Sinclair would have served until Dec. 31. Sinclair was also slotted to make $95,000 in 2017, according to the county budget. Batman announced Sinclair’s coming departure in January, but at that time, an agreement was still being worked out.
