The westbound lane of the New York State Thruway was closed overnight due to winds, which blew over a tractor-trailer.
The accident happened around 11 pm on Wednesday, and the scene was finally cleared around 7 am on Thursday. It happened just feet away from the Exit 41 off-ramp.
Crews were forced to remove the contents of the trailer before they could get it upright and tow it away from the scene.
Multiple crews from Seneca County were called to help at the scene, and several other were called to cover in form of mutual aid.
According to scanner traffic on Wednesday, the driver of the vehicle was temporarily entrapped before being pulled from the tipped rig.
