Rochester man facing charges after crashing with revoked license

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports that on Saturday around 6:12 am officers arrested Celvin T. Kirkland, 36, of Rochester following a one car crash.

He was found to be driving with a revoked license and was under the influence of alcohol following an investigation into the Rt. 414 crash. Officers say he was charged with failing to use designated lane, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlawful possession of marijuana, driving while intoxicated and operating with a blood-alcohol content of 08 percent or more.

It appeared that alcohol and speed were both factors in the crash. The vehicle was totaled, according to officers, but no injuries were sustained.

Kirkland was processed and arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250 cash bail or $500 secured bond.
