Skaneateles’ snow days are gone, spring days now in jeopardy

On a day like today you can bet schools here in Skaneateles are closed. But, it’s the number of snow days the school district has already used is why parents are talking.

“I think there are days when they’ve could’ve come. They called it too soon. I think they should do more of practicing an hour or two hour delay before they go right to cancelling school,” says Karen Wilmot.

“I think our school district has been wonderful in being proactive and calling snow days the night before so that parents can plan ahead if they have to work. The roads out here are hilly. It’s a farm country out here and they’re very dangerous when there’s even a little bit of snow,” says Susan Wulff.
