In honor of World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st the Seneca Falls Community Center is hosting a traveling photo gallery featuring individuals with Down syndrome.
The goal of this national gallery is to change misperceptions of Down syndrome one person at a time until one million new voices are heard.
On Saturday, March 25th the community center will be holding a story time beginning at 12:30 pm for young children.
Following the stories will be a reception for people to come and meet the community members of Seneca County who happen to have Down syndrome.
The reception is scheduled to run from 1 pm until 3 pm. If you cannot attend Saturday’s reception, stop in at the community center anytime between now and Sunday.
The exhibit will close at 3 pm on March 26th.
